The Jeffrey Epstein Scandal will be the biggest story of the decade because of the prominent names in his little Black Book. While some were innocent, there were many powerful CEOs, bankers, billionaires & politicians who flew on his plane, the Lolita Express. We must wonder how many openings this will lead to for women leaders to be invited to World Economic Forum, instead of rich & predatory men, some of whom are hiding dark secrets?

QUOTE: “The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything.” Albert Einstein

I was shocked to hear about Epstein, because when I lived in New York, I went to the Yossi hair salon which was on East 71st Street between Madison & Fifth Avenue just steps from his mansion. While I never met Mr. Epstein, I wonder if any of the lovely women & girls who were abused by him had walked down that street when I was at my salon near St. James Church and the Ralph Lauren store. The Upper East Side felt like the safest part of New York, but behind the doors of that $70+ million mansion, evil lurked and many CEOs, bankers, academics, celebrities & mainstream media anchors tragically looked the other way! SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING #TimesUp

The more I learn about Davos Men & this tragic #MeToo story, the more I know we need female executive coaches & Conservative women leaders at Davos. The heroes of this story include the Florida attorney Bradley Edwards and journalist Julie K. Brown at the Miami Herald. South Florida is attracting Davos men’s attention & will continue to. STAY TUNED & watch new video where I share my thoughts & opinions on how Epstein relates to Davos:

DavosSecretsWebWhen I started The Davos CEO Pledge, I assumed I would get 30-40% women to World Economic Forum within a few years because as a former executive search consultant, I knew the top female talent was available. I asked the world’s top CEOs to help me – men who were written up in articles & admired by the press. Today, after working diligently to get the percentage from just 15% women to 22%, I realize there is a much bigger issue. Some Davos Men have secrets, and until we address this issue, we will not get a healthy representation of the seasoned women leaders ages 45-65+ to achieve inclusive economic growth. A major obstacle is the PR Industrial Complex which spins stories to make these CEOs look good. Meantime some of these CEOs & Board members are taking advantage of highly intelligent women. Older male CEOs promoting the idea of hiring young millennials is a recipe for disaster, because it leaves out the amazing, experienced women with wisdom. Here I discuss two Davos CEOs (Martin Sorrell & Jeff Bezos in the MeToo era) & Success Coach Tony Robbins. My goal since 2011 is 30-40% women leaders at Davos & Cannes Lions. For anyone willing to help me achieve my dream, please get in touch on Linked In. As positive & hopeful as I have been in my initial posts, dealing with Davos CEOs, Board members & Billionaires is not always pretty: WATCH

“We cannot choose between growth & sustainability. We must have both.” UNILEVER CEO

“Unilever and CEO Paul Polman are the crown jewel of the consumer products industry.” Sandra Rupp, Executive Coach in FT comments (she now has viewers in 100 countries)

“Introducing the priceless Sandra Rupp.” FT Alphaville

Each morning I wake up to my Financial Times alerts on my smart phone to see headlines about my favorite CEOs. About ten days ago, I almost fell out of bed….There was a story in FT Alphaville (founded by the talented Paul Murphy) about Unilever stock and something going on with Kraft Heinz. As a world’s top business thinker, the first thing I did was head for my laptop and Twitter where I can read headlines of 25+ global publications. Next I was on the phone to a friend at a top hedge fund in New York asking him to tell me more about private equity firm 3G. Interestingly Warren Buffett helped my Dad find his CEO job back in the ’70s. I had even consulted to companies like Cadbury. I had to work fast, I had to take my comments to the FT, and I had to get creative because CEO Paul Polman and his visionary Sustainable Living Plan are worth everything we’ve got! He is my favorite CEO in the world, an innovator like no one else: irreplaceable and highly regarded by other Davos CEOs (and Executive Coaches). And the rest is Herstory: Yes FT Alphaville, Sandra Rupp, CEO Paul Polman and even Sir Martin Sorrell at WPP helped save the most historically important & sustainable company in the world: UNILEVER. And now I want to work with CEO Paul Polman and CMO Keith Weed to communicate the importance of The Sustainable Living Plan to investment managers around the globe. When we look back on business history, I believe we will see this as a KEY turning point for shareholders, consumers & employees. And I look forward to many more years ahead for Unilever’s highly talented CEO Paul Polman who was successful in fending off a takeover in record time with a little help from the many people who believe in him. Watch my video for the EXCITING STORY: Paul, let’s take everyone from Sustainable to Flourishing!

One of my Davos CEOs and I were talking about how World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting 2017 overlaps with the US Presidential Inauguration this year, so I decided to prepare two videos in advance.

They relate to the economy, my prediction of President Trump (in my Thinkers50 video), and if you haven’t heard yet there will be a record breaking 21% women delegates at Davos 2017. Clearly The Davos CEO Pledge  which I initiated is working (CEOs my goal is 30% women, so don’t worry you’ll be hearing from me next year). What Does Leadership Look Like to You? I am honored to endorse Donald J. Trump for US President. I predicted back in Augusta 2015 in my Thinkers50 Radar video that Donald would be the Republican nominee, and a likely next President. I tweeted and shared my views with my favorite media outlets over the last year and a half including the Financial Times to The Wall Street Journal, CBS News, CNBC, Fox Business & The Washington Post. Here is why as an MBA-educated Independent/Moderate voter, an Executive Coach, and a lover of democracy and freedom of speech (a Mayflower descendant), I chose Trump as “the right person for the right time.” I have met both Donald and Melania Trump, and I believe Davos CEOs would enjoy meeting them both at World Economic Forum (Melania may become our 1st First Lady to speak five languages). I was really excited that World Economic Forum had for the first time 3 of 6 Female Co-Chairs this year (a record 50% Women)! Many thanks to my CEOs, FT Alphaville, WSJ, Fast Company, Forbes as well as my favorite Thinkers 50 colleagues as I put my heart & soul into this project over the last two plus years. My Davos CEO Challenge 2016 was to five of my Favorite CEOs (data at Quartz website).

Coca Cola: 2 Female Delegates of 5 =40% Women (more than his major competitor and up from 0 last year) Many thanks Muhtar Kent!

WPP Group: 1 Female Delegate of 2 for parent co. = 50% Women (Sir Martin Sorrell my favorite Math Man)!

Citigroup: 1 Female Delegate, but Michael Corbat had 2 Female Delegates in 2015 as previous winner!

Unilever: 1 Female Delegate, but Paul Polman gets Honorary Award as he appointed two women to his CEO team during the Challenge, so he is likely to have more Doves at Davos next year. Many thanks Paul!

Since Virgin didn’t list any delegates, we’re adding Bank of America4 Female Delegates of 7 = 57% Women! Way to go Brian Moynihan. And Sir Richard I’d love your support on the CEO Pledge.

The most important thing I learned from this Challenge: sometimes CEOs surprise you, but above all feelings count for both men & women. While I believe the talent is available for 30% Women at Davos, I think there are some ongoing myths about Women in Business Leadership. So I initiated a creative “Cannes Lions” strategy this year (with pretty dresses) to help “rebrand” the Look & Feel of Leadership asking: What Does Leadership Look Like to You? In my 20+ years of global executive search & executive coaching experience, I don’t believe home issues are holding back executive-level appointments for women in business at the larger companies. Executive women have high incomes to hire help and many have older children or no children (not one of my Fortune 100 clients has ever mentioned this as their obstacle). I also don’t think women need to be more aggressive or less feminine. Indeed if anything the world has too much masculine energy! We see war looming and the highest economic inequality: these things will only be solved by what I call The Yin & Yang of Leadership. Inclusion now makes companies more profitable and helps avoid risky decisions. There was only one CEO, not in the challenge, who got upset with me when I asked the WSJ why he had only one woman on his CEO Team, but soon after he was sending his male executives to be counseled on that topic!

The world needs more Executive Women and baby boomer Female Founders at Davos (because 90% of US Female Founders – the most educated talent on the planet- are oddly one person companies). We need some creative brainstorming. While I couldn’t sleep for three nights when I saw the 18% overall Women in attendance at Davos, I rest better knowing I have five plus heroes here. CEOs & CHROs, I coach Executive Teams on Leadership, Talent Acquisition, Executive Communication, and Inclusive Advertising. I am currently working with a Silicon Valley CEO and coaching three men and women on his team. After donating six figures of video time, I do need more executive coaching work now. I will also be launching my 1st DVD/Video on Amazon on How to Navigate a 21st Century Career for my Viewers in 65 Countries. I am honored to have you watching. PS CEOs: You might see me in more suits now, but with the help of Paul Polman, Sir Martin & my other CEOs, there will be a lot more Doves descending upon Davos. I could have never achieved all of this without all of you! Yin/Yang.

Final Thoughts:

Let’s call it Gender Parity. We need more positive (and feminine) energy. Indeed the World Economic Forum tweeted a survey that key skills for 2020 include Creativity, Emotional Intelligence, and Critical Thinking skills. I couldn’t agree more as my history/arts degree is to me as valuable as my Kellogg MBA. Special Thanks to Paul Murphy at the Financial Times who has three daughters and has followed my videos, as well as to Don Tapscott, Bill George & Tom Peters.

UNILEVER CEO Paul Polman is one of the world’s most admired CEOs for his leadership on Sustainability. IMRAN KHAN of Pakistan is one of the most influential people in the world per Time Magazine and the Asia Society.  Executive & Anchor Sandra Rupp was placed on the THINKER50 Guru Radar List for the world’s top business thinkers & aims to interview both of them on camera. Here she explains why she has chosen two of her favorite Davos Men to help her get more Doves to Davos.

In terms of your Leadership style, are you a Hawk or a Dove? Did you know that it is the Highly Sensitive of any species that are the key to survival? Do you have the gene for High Sensitivity or High Sensation Seeking? Some of the most dynamic CEOs and Leaders in the world I have met have both genes, because they know how to take risks but also manage risk. Click here to take both Tests. Read this post by Dr. Elaine Aron at www.hsperson.com  to learn more. I am a Highly Sensitive Leader (a Dove), and I believe we need more Doves at World Economic Forum to help tackle the most pressing issues of the decade including Income Inequality, the Gender Gap and Terrorism. I am inviting Paul Polman, Imran Khan & other leaders to help me.

Now with viewers in over 65 Countries, Sandra Rupp is inviting CEOsLeaders to interview with her on camera either virtually or in person in a Smart TV Series “Five Questions to World Leaders.” Contact: www.parthenonadvisors.com and www.sandrarupp.com In 2011 she was placed on the cover of the Davos Debates Video by the World Economic Forum and asked CEOs & Leaders a video question on Innovation & Jobs. In 2015 the Financial Times Alphaville published her Davos Woman Video. She is a top Executive Coach & Anchor, MBA from Kellogg/Northwestern and studied International Business & Art at Oxford. She is asking Leaders to bring two female delegates to Davos. STAY TUNED

QUOTE: One of the first things I learned in Business School is to go where the power is.” Sandra Rupp, Executive Coach & Media Presenter

LEADERS it is with great pleasure that I thank one of the key people who inspired my Davos Woman CEO Challenge: I had the good fortune to hear Warren Buffett speak at the Fortune Women’s Most Powerful Conference several year ago. He actually helped my father find a CEO job in the 1970s. I have admired Warren Buffett over many years not just for his business success, but also for his upbeat, positive personality. In my new video I reveal how he inspired me and how Silicon Valley CEOs, @FTAlphaville and @WSJ are helping too. As many of you know I am now inviting all CEOs to appoint 30%+ women to their CEO Teams, bring two ladies to Davos & interview with me on camera on the topic of Women & Leadership. Maybe then we can even get the legendary Warren Buffett to attend Davos! I also would love to work with WEF to create a New Category for more Women Age 45+ to attend World Economic Forum. Watch my NEW VIDEO & many thanks to all supporting me:
